TRANSCRIPT: Cathy opens her campaign.

I'm excited about running for the Board of Supervisors for the fourth time. I think that what we're doing on this Board is phenomenal. And I think the message on this campaign and working together is to make everyone understand, what's the message about what we do. 

If you think about it, Fairfax County is a star in this region, in this Commonwealth, and truly, one of the best places in the Nation to come to live, work, raise a family, and enjoy contributing and serving in a community.

So, as I go forward, that's what I'll keep my mind on. I was thinking when I was  getting ready for this, I thought, look at what you said twelve years ago. And, you know what? It's in step. And that's the message we'll send: That we really do keep our promises, we really do work for the community, and we encourage the engagement of community.

[Brief scene shift]

We want to get back to that in government., that it's not just about me. It's about all of us, and the things we do to help people in order to make this quality community. 

So, over the next couple of, not quite 200 days left, I think, we're really going to be out on the stump saying that when you elect Democrats you get good government.  Because no one will deny in Fairfax County we have good government, good services, and quality that everybody wants to share. And, I'd love to have your vote in being part of that.
